Hi Saff. I too am a 25 year old severely interested in crafting, costuming and theatre :o)
I have been searching online about painting on lycra/spandex and ran across your Cats blog :o) I have to make a bunch of acrobatic/dance costumes of the Peanuts Gallery characters and I was thinking I wanted to hand paint on the stripes, polka dots, etc of their clothes to give it more of that comic/hand drawn feel. I was wondering if you had good luck working with the sharpies and fabric paint on the spandex? Some blogs and stuff have been saying that that paint tends to flake off? I was wondering what kind of paint you used? Because I know some things have to be heat set which will ruin the spandex. I was just wondering if you have any thoughts or insight for me?
